  2. Just amazing Dan! what a talent. 'Yellow Bellied Sapsucker' sounds like an insult I might use if I was really angry with someone!

  6. Wow! Great shots. I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite. The deer crossing the stream is quite unique. And there is no such thing as too much time with a camera!!!!
It means you're outside, enjoying this beautiful world.....like you SHOULD be! Have a great week!

  8. Really nice photos. Every summer I try to get photos of the butterflies. Mine will never stand still long enough. Maybe I just don't have the patience.

  9. WOW! Those are really impressive. I love all birds, but there is just something special about the green heron. I was fortunate to live on marsh one winter and watched one often.

  11. Those are professional quality photos and the subject matter is so beautiful and interesting. I love how you managed to get several pictures with the birds eating or holding food in their beaks. The one of the woodpecker with a whole row of (I believe it is nuts) in it's beak is amazing!

Thanks for sharing these with us.

  13. Wow!
    Great pictures and great blog!
I've just read your post about tomato seeds saving and I've smiled because I've followed exactly the same procedure, but my seeds were so much dirtier than yours by the end of the process...
We will wait and see next summer!

  14. Gorgeous photos. It isn't easy getting good bird photos. I know, my husband teaches birding and uses new photos constantly to update his lectures. I try, but never get anything like the ones you've posted. Kudos! My favorites were the woodpecker with seeds in its beak and the sandhill crane in the grass.

  16. Your pictures blew me away. I do a lot of fishing here in New Brunswick Canada and see quite a variety of birds and other wildlife and scenery but never get pictures like that.

What is the camera you used for those shots?
