In summer, they are mixed with chopped peppers and pineapples as salad. Taco filling with beans is tasty too. I gave up quite a bit of garden room this year to grow dried beans and did not get well rewarded because our wet cool weather made it difficult to get them first matured and then dried down properly. I managed to get several pounds though in the end - mostly dark red kidney beans.
