Wow, beautiful shots, how many mm is your telephoto lens?
ReplyDeleteJust amazing Dan! what a talent. 'Yellow Bellied Sapsucker' sounds like an insult I might use if I was really angry with someone!
ReplyDeleteWow woodpeckers are a really beautiful bird, somehow I never really thought they would be. Those are beautiful shots. Its always interesting to see what the birdlife looks like around the world.
ReplyDeleteI've always loved your photography, Dan! It's amazing you've got such diversity in your area.
ReplyDeleteFantastic shots!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, you have been busy. Very beautiful and breathtaking photos. It must be like a treasure hunt to seek out your subject and get some great photos.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant photos - lovethem
ReplyDeletebeautiful pictures!
ReplyDeleteWow! Great shots. I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite. The deer crossing the stream is quite unique. And there is no such thing as too much time with a camera!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt means you're outside, enjoying this beautiful world.....like you SHOULD be! Have a great week!
Amazing pictures Dan!
ReplyDeleteDan, these are so excellent I just had to share them ! Posted a few on a site I visit with a link to your flickr page. Hope you don't mind ? Truly, truly magnificent !
ReplyDeleteReally nice photos. Every summer I try to get photos of the butterflies. Mine will never stand still long enough. Maybe I just don't have the patience.
ReplyDeleteWOW! Those are really impressive. I love all birds, but there is just something special about the green heron. I was fortunate to live on marsh one winter and watched one often.
ReplyDeleteWow! I love the one with the Crane in the grass.
ReplyDeleteThose are professional quality photos and the subject matter is so beautiful and interesting. I love how you managed to get several pictures with the birds eating or holding food in their beaks. The one of the woodpecker with a whole row of (I believe it is nuts) in it's beak is amazing!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing these with us.
Thank you so much for sharing the beautiful pictures, they are amazing.
ReplyDeleteWow!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures and great blog!
I've just read your post about tomato seeds saving and I've smiled because I've followed exactly the same procedure, but my seeds were so much dirtier than yours by the end of the process...
We will wait and see next summer!
Greetings from Italy.
Gorgeous photos. It isn't easy getting good bird photos. I know, my husband teaches birding and uses new photos constantly to update his lectures. I try, but never get anything like the ones you've posted. Kudos! My favorites were the woodpecker with seeds in its beak and the sandhill crane in the grass.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos!!!
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful pics! You must really have a great time getting out and taking them with such varied settings. Very nice indeed!
ReplyDeleteYour pictures blew me away. I do a lot of fishing here in New Brunswick Canada and see quite a variety of birds and other wildlife and scenery but never get pictures like that.
ReplyDeleteWhat is the camera you used for those shots?
I LOVE your blog. Thank you for your time and generousity of experience and ideas. I am also a birder and these photos are breathtaking. I wish I was there taking those pictures. VERY IMPRESSIVE!
ReplyDeleteGreat series of bird photos, Dan. Appreciate the link to my blog too :)

ReplyDeleteYour bird photography is really eye catching. Really you are such a great and creative photographer.
ReplyDeletewow, nice pics, what'd you use to edit them ? Photoshop?
ReplyDeleteWow, I had no idea woodpeckers were so beautiful! I love all of these images, but especially the sandhill crane picture where he's popping his head up from the grass. Great photography! What camera do you use?
ReplyDeleteWow! Excellent photography.
